Aroma Bridge Program
Personalized Holistic Aromatherapy for Neurodivergent Children (Ages 5–12)
Helping Your Child Find Calm, Connection, and Balance Through the Science of Scent
Our Story

A Journey of Inspired Purpose
My name is Xiaoya Gao, and my journey with Aroma Bridge began with a simple question after earning my Clinical Aromatherapy certification: “How can I use this knowledge to benefit the people who need it the most?”
The answer came in 2024 at an aromatherapy conference, where I listened to an expert, Jonathan Benavides, share transformative work using essential oils to support children with ASD and ADHD. Profoundly moved, I knew my path was clear.
I founded Aroma Bridge on April 2nd, 2024, World Autism Awareness Day, with a mission to bridge the gap between clinical aromatherapy and the daily lives of neurodivergent children and their families. We began with two children, and the results have inspired our work ever since.
A Milestone Moment: June 1st, 2024

The Day the Classroom Breathed Together
On Children’s Day 2024, we hosted a landmark "Aromatic Painting" event that showcased the true power of sensory connection. We brought together students, parents, and teachers to create art using watercolors infused with 100% pure essential oils.
-
A Sanctuary of Scent: As the children painted, the entire classroom was filled with the soothing aromas of nature. This wasn't just an art class; it was a collective sensory retreat.
-
Restoring the Caregivers: For a few precious hours, the rush of the world slowed down. Parents and teachers, who often carry the heaviest emotional loads, found a rare moment of deep mental and physical relaxation.
-
The Power of Connection: This activity acted as a "bridge," weaving a tight bond between families, educators, and students. It proved that when we create a supportive environment, everyone thrives.
-
A Fragrant Legacy: Every child left the room as a "little artist," carrying home a masterpiece that held the lingering scent of plants, a beautiful, tactile reminder of their inner calm and creativity.
Our Pioneers (2024)
Child A: Experienced severe self-harming behaviors, elopement (running from the classroom), and was non-verbal. After 3 months in our program, he could sit in class for a full morning. After 4 months, he became a full-time student. After 12 months, his self-harming behaviors had ceased. Today, at age 7, he helps with household chores and has begun to verbalize single words. His family reports a new sense of calm and connection.
Child B: Struggled with chronic constipation, sleep disruption, and emotional agitation. Within 3 months of using a customized blend, parents reported significant improvements in sleep quality, daily bowel movements, and emotional regulation.

Our 2025 Cohort
Three new students joined, and after 6 months in the program, all showed remarkable, consistent progress:
-
Sleep: Children who struggled to fall asleep and would wake nightly between 1-3 AM and 4-5 AM, now self-soothe to sleep and enjoy 8-10 hours of uninterrupted rest. They can even nap at school, reducing classroom stress.
-
Digestion: Picky eaters have expanded their diets, now accepting new foods and establishing balanced, daily nutrition.
-
Emotional Regulation: Parents and teachers report noticeably calmer reactions, reduced anger, and improved ability to navigate daily transitions.
Teacher Feedback from the Classroom:
-
Instruction Compliance: Significant improvement in following group directions.
-
Self-Regulation: Ability to calm down within 10 minutes of an emotional episode.
-
Processing Speed: Response time to their name improved by 2–3 seconds.
-
Rhythmic Accuracy: Up to 80% success rate in following music and beat patterns.
Our Partnership
(The Caregiver’s Role)
A Nurturing Journey Together To help your child flourish, this program relies on a gentle, daily rhythm led by the primary caregiver.
-
Daily Rituals: Applying customized blends at least 3 times a day creates a steady sensory anchor.
-
Long-Term Support: ASD and ADHD are not "illnesses" to be cured; they are unique ways of being that deserve persistent, loving assistance.
-
Consistent Growth: Much like a garden, your child’s progress thrives on the water and light of daily consistency.

How the Aroma Bridge Journey Works
The path to progress is a partnership. We follow a structured, supportive process to ensure your child receives the most effective and safe care possible.
1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a deep dive into your child’s world. We discuss their specific sensory needs, sleep patterns, health history, and the unique challenges they face daily.
2. Registration & Intake
Once you join the program, you will fill out a detailed Client Intake Form. This provides the clinical data needed to ensure every essential oil selected is safe and perfectly suited to your child’s constitution.
3. Custom Creation
I scientifically formulate a personalized aromatherapy product—such as a therapeutic rollerball, calming room spray, or a specialized diffuser blend—tailored exclusively for your child. Safety, sensory preference, and your specific wellness goals are our highest priorities.
4. Guided Implementation
You will receive your custom blend along with clear, simple guidelines for safe use at home and school. We ensure you feel confident and supported as you introduce this new "pocket of peace" into your child’s routine.
5. The Feedback Loop: Monitoring & Growth
Consistency and communication are the keys to success. We stay closely connected to track your child's progress:
-
Month 1: Weekly check-ins to monitor initial responses and ensure a smooth transition.
-
Month 2 & 3: Scheduled monthly feedback sessions (10–15 minutes) to discuss observations and celebrate wins.
-
Month 4 & Beyond: Quarterly feedback sessions to maintain long-term balance.
-
Note: If anything needs attention between scheduled sessions, I am always just a message away.
6. Thrive & Adjust
Progress is a journey, not a destination. As your child grows and their needs evolve, we dynamically adjust the formula. This ensures that the aromatherapy support remains optimal and effective for every new stage of their development.
